Les Feux de la St Jean
Yes, there will be; I just hadn't got around to putting the poster on the site! Click on the photo to see it in full.

The flame, bonfire, fireworks and a bar. Should be a good evening that keeps this tradition alive and welcomes in summer. Oh yes and don't forget to buy one of the bouquets of wild flowers that the primary school children will be selling. Hang it up in the house to bring you luck until the same time next year.

Two more diary dates
There seems to be something happening all the time these days. Prepare yourselves for the long haul of summer!
11th July
"Foul Dawa". Reggae, ska, rock concert at the Auberge du Chêne. Starts at 21h.
"Bastille Day", 14th July
Click on the poster to see it in its entirety.

Fortunately there seems to be space in the afternoon for a siesta as the French "Fête Nationale" promises to be a long day!

Another busy weekend
Another busy weekend for the merrymakers among you. Friday is the annual fiesta in Las Illas. For the early birds, there is the walk up there followed by either paella in the open air, a meal in the restaurant or even your own picnic. Boules in the afternoon and a disco in the evening.

Sunday, what could be better that sitting by the fountain at El Tap, sipping a glass of rosé or pastis while listening to music?
