Endurance Horse Race
20th April, Endurance Horse Race
For all you early birds, this promises to be an imressive sight. The race consisting of circuits of 20, 40, 60 and 90kms start from the Prat de la Farga at 8am although the horses can be seen being put through their paces by the vets from 7am. It's the first time that "Endurance Vallispir" have organised such an event in the area and entrants are coming from far and wide. It's great to think that Maureillas has been chosen as the venue. Let's hope that the day turns out to be as fine as today was for the mountain bike/vtt competition.

What dates is it?
At the officiel website for Maureillas, this summers program at Prat de la Farga is shown. The problem is, that the dates and the weekdays dosn't match. Does anybody know the right dates
Re: What's on
The dates don't correspond because they refer to last year.
The new team at the Mairie intend to update the site so, if you have any ideas about what is useful, what is good or how it could be improved I'm sure that they will be pleased to have some feedback.
Re: What's on
Thank you Ruth, I mailed to the Mairie. Would it be possible to get Maggies mailadress?

A busy weekend
Meeting, Saturday, 14th June at 15h.30 in the Foyer Municipal
Maureillas sans Frontières is a new Association born out of the wish to share ideas, interests, talents, competances, "dadas" (translated in the Colins/Robert dictionary as "hobby horse" and by a friend as a passion for something) and thematic get-togethers in an effort to bring people from different backgrounds together. Your participation will be most welcome.
Sunday, 15th June, Prat de la Fargue
The Association, "Jolly Jumper" has organised a trek of 12-13 kms on Sunday morning starting from the Prat de la Fargue. There will be a "buvette" serving drinks and snacks and an all inclusive meal at lunch time for 12€. Between 14h - 17h there will be a number of competitions with the prize giving taking place at about 18h.
Proceeds from the buvette and a stand selling cards and other items will go to the Association "Un Enfant à Calcutta" which supports a school in India.
If you're interested in the meal it would be helpful if you could reserve on 06 16 29 36 19.
An afternoon outdoors, watching horses and riders going through their paces - not a bad way to pass the time?
Sunday, 15th June at 17h in the Foyer Municipal
